If you'd rather plug in, it also runs from a standard household power outlet or a 12V/24V car socket, and it'll keep cooling while it charges. But unlike a car fridge, you're not tied to the engine running or the battery slowly draining.

Both. DayBox uses a proper compressor, the same cooling technology as the fridge in your kitchen, with a temperature range from -20°C all the way up to +20°C. That means it'll bring room-temperature drinks down to fridge-cold on its own, and hold them there all day. For the best runtime, pre-cool the unit for 15–20 minutes before loading it with drinks.

Average conditions are around 25°C ambient temperature, with the unit pre-cooled and packed with already-chilled contents where possible. Hotter weather, direct sun, warm contents, or constant opening will shorten that time. Keeping your DayBox in the shade will extend it. In real-world use across a beach day, a fishing trip, or a long Saturday of sport, most people get the full 12 hours comfortably.

In the 12L, you'll comfortably fit 14–16 standard cans plus snacks, or a mix of bottles, lunch containers, and drinks. The 18L holds 20–24 cans, or enough food and drink for a family beach day. Bottles up to standard wine size stand upright in both models, so you're not stuck packing things sideways.

The removable basket sits up near the top and gives you a separate level for the things you want to grab fast, such as lunch, snacks, fruit, and sauces. Heavier items like drinks and bottles sit underneath in the main compartment. When you need the full space for a bigger pack, just lift the basket out and you've got the whole interior to play with.

Yes, but it will work harder. DayBox keeps cooling whatever the outside temperature, but a hot boot or a sun-baked back seat means the compressor runs more often and the battery drains faster. Since the DayBox is portable, you can take it wherever you go. Alternatively, leave your car in the shade and crack open a window. The unit itself is rated to operate in ambient temperatures well above a typical hot day.

Nope. Set it once when you pack it and leave it alone. DayBox holds the temperature you choose automatically. Even if the weather gets warmer, your drinks will stay cold.
