Which way does this adapter go?
This lead has the 12V plug (male) on one end. Push it into a powered 12V socket, your car, caravan, battery box or the Volt Dropper's socket output, and the Anderson end becomes your outlet. If you want the reverse (an Anderson plug that gives you a 12V socket), see our female version.
Is it fused?
Yes. There is a built-in 20A fuse in the plug for overload protection, plus a red LED so you can see the connection is live.
Can I run a fridge through my car's socket with this?
You can, but note most vehicle accessory sockets are fused at 10 to 15A, so the vehicle's own fuse is usually the limit rather than this lead's 20A fuse. Check your vehicle's manual for its socket rating.
Will it work with the Volt Dropper?
Yes. Plug it into the Dropper's 12V socket output and you have an Anderson outlet for your gear, powered by the tool batteries you already own.
