  Always pair batteries of the same brand, voltage, and capacity (e.g. two 18V 5.0Ah Makita packs).
• Check charge levels
  Ensure both batteries are at a similar charge level before connecting (within ~0.2–0.3V).
• Avoid mixing new and old batteries
  Differences in internal resistance can cause uneven discharge and reduced performance.
• Keep connections clean and secure
  Make sure terminals are free from dust, debris, and corrosion.
• Disconnect after use
  Remove batteries when not in use to prevent slow drain or accidental load.
• Monitor temperature
  Batteries should remain cool during operation. Stop use if packs feel unusually hot.

Q1: Does this adapter charge my batteries?
No. This is an adapter only. It allows your 18V tool batteries to connect to the Volt Dropper, but it does not charge the batteries.

Q2: Can I mix batteries of different capacities (e.g. 5Ah and 8Ah)?
No, the adapter will function with different capacities. However, best performance and battery health are achieved when using two batteries of the same brand, capacity, and similar charge level. Mixing different battery capacities is highly discouraged to protect the health of your tool batteries.

Q3: Will this work directly with power tools?
It can physically fit, but this adapter is designed exclusively for use with the Volt Dropper, not for powering tools directly.

Q4: Can I use just one battery?
Yes. The adapter will operate with a single 18V battery, though it makes little sense to do this as you may as well connect the single battery directly to the Volt Dropper.

Q5: Is it compatible with third-party batteries?
Yes, most third-party batteries compatible with the selected brand platform will work. For best performance and safety, genuine brand batteries are recommended.

Q6: Is the Volt Dropper included?
No. This product includes the Double Battery Adapter only. Batteries, Volt Dropper, tools, and chargers are sold separately.

Q7: Can I return it if it doesn’t fit?
Yes, however return postage is at the buyer’s expense. Please ensure you select the correct brand-specific variant, as adapters are not cross-compatible between brands.
